Bad Robot Jedi - Size Matters Not

For no real reason other than I thought it would be an interesting challenge for me, and I thought the idea was cool, I came up with this.

JJ Abrams is down to direct the next Star Wars film, so I thought that his Bad Robot needed to feel the force and become a Jedi.

Since I posted this, the image was used by the very cool /Film blog on their Star Wars reporting page today.

Thanks to @GermainLussier for picking the image to use.

Doctor Who Quotes
As it's the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who I thought I'd give myself a little challenge.

I am going to create 11 posters, one for each of the doctors.

Each poster will be of a quote from the doctor and hopefully contain an element or two of DW history to make things more interesting.

Here are the first two, and I'll keep posting one a month until the anniversary in November.

Bow Ties T-Shirts, Mugs and More
I have made the Bow Ties design, now with added bow tie, to Cafepress and Redbubble.

T-shirts, mugs, bags, drinking glasses, stickers and more available

Doctor Who Icons
As it's the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who this year I thought I'd try some DW related designs.

I have used this question mark design before, but this has been converted to a vectored illustrator design.

I'm not entirely happy with the faces so I might redraw them at some point

This next icon speaks for itself, but in order to finish it I had to improvise, I'm sure you can spot where ;-)

Click on each image for a large version and feel free to use them as your icon or avatar.

Of course if someone asks let them know where you got them.

The Following - Nevermore
Is anyone watching The Following ?

It's only a couple of episodes in so far but I think it has potential

It's not going to be to everyone's taste given the subject matter, but if you look beyond the obvious gore it is attempting to be a smart psychological thriller.

Anyway if you have watched it then you will know what this icon idea is all about.

A Real Life Fringe Celebration Poster
A fantastic Fringe poster arrived today !

Yes I know I created this, but it is such a great feeling when the real life version gets delivered and all the worries about how it will look are unfounded.

The poster is no longer available in the store, but the Fringe section with other goodies is still very much open.

Hello Nurse The Movie
Great news Animaniacs is coming back with a movie called "Hello Nurse"

Ok ok, it isn't, but if it did this might be the movie poster for it.

Just something I did for fun to learn a little more about poster making.

Asockalypse Now
That lovely man Rob Paulsen has been at it again with the socks !

A recent Talkin Toons podcast was entitled "Asockalypse Now" and was very funny indeed.

Of course with the name of this podcast it links to the film of a similar (but legally different !) name, so I created this small image mash up of the movie poster with sock puppets instead of helicopters ;-)

If you haven't heard of Sock Puppet Theatre yet then click here to watch it, but be warned the human species can say some really NSFW things !

Primeval New World Icon
I thought I'd have a go at creating a Primeval New World icon as I'm really happy that the Canadian version is taking up the torch from the UK.

It has the Predator control logo from the new series, the ARC logo that Connor wears on his jacket, and my attempt at the Cross Photonics logo.

Of course then there is an Anomaly, the Primeval New World logo and if you look really closely you might be able to see what has come through that anomaly.

Fringe Celebration Poster
Now the final episode of Fringe has been shown I have updated this poster to include the final glyph code words.

The poster features many elements from Fringe mythology, both old and new, and has every glyph code word included in the observer typography.

The poster is now available for sale in my Cafepress store it is a 23" x 35" poster and is being sold for $24 + postage.

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback about this it was much appreciated and I hope those that order a copy enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Click here to go directly to the poster sale page or click the image of the poster to go to the main Fringe products section.

The poster is no longer available in the store, but the Fringe section with other goodies is still very much open.

30 Fringe Icons
30 of my Fringe icons that supported @Fringenuity and @Fringe__UK in their social media events.

It includes a prototype icon for the Observe It Live event that was not used and a special goodbye icon

Fringe Walter Bishop Quote T-Shirt
I have aded the Walter Bishop So Much Happened quote from the Fringe pilot episode as an item in my Cafepress Store

Available on t-shirts, baseball style shirts and a tote bag

Fringe Finale Icon
A new icon to support the final (!) Fringe social media event for the 18th of January (or 19th for us in the UK).

It has been a really fun year of designing icons for the events and has pushed me in all sorts of ways to Be A Better Man ;-)

So I just need to say another big thanks to the Fringenuity team for all their hard work and dedication to fringe

Read more about Fringenuity on MoreThanOneOfEverything.Net. They will be keeping in touch even after the final episode so keep checking the site.

This icon started off as a slightly simpler project to create a design around this pilot episode quote -

Fringe Icon - Never Let go
A new icon to support the US Fringe twitter campaign for the 11th of January.

For this event I decided to use a clockwork heart to represent the machine inside of us that will Never Let Go.

Fringe Finale Poster
The final episode of Fringe is nearly upon us, very sad but true

To celebrate Fringe Gallery 1988 have been running the Fringe Benefits Project where posters are released based on episodes voted for.

However before that project was announced (you will just have to believe me on that !) I had decided to create my own poster and here is the result

A celebration of important elements in Fringe and one slightly frivolous one from Walter of course.

Click the image for a larger view.

The Observer typography has every Fringe glyph code word on it at least once and my intention is to update it slightly with the words from the final few episodes.

Now I have a question for you, would you like to purchase this poster in a large format ? Something like 18x24 inch or UK A2 size ?

There are really two options one is for me to add it to my existing Cafepress and Red Bubble stores or for me to investigate a higher quality option but in a limited run.

If you have the time I'd like you to let me know your thoughts via Twitter or any other method you think will get to me !

Thanks for reading this and above all I hope you enjoy my little tribute to the little show that could called Fringe.

If you are a regular follower of my work you will know that this isn't my first Fringe poster -

Mr Papaya Diner, available on a poster and t-shirt

Created as part of the Fringenuity competition (Not available for purchase)

A simple Glyph Code alphabet poster

Fringe Icon Far From Normal
A new icon to support the US Fringe twitter campaign for the 21st of December.

A postcard from the edge which is Far From Normal.

Since it is Fringenuity's 25th twitter event I thought I would put together 25 icons that I have designed.

I know three of them were technically for the Fringe UK events, but they were all for a good cause right !

Fringe - Free Your Mind
A new icon to support the US Fringe twitter campaign for the 14th of December.

A suitably psychedelic design for a suitably trippy hash tag.

Sock Puppet Theatre - Starsocks Coffee
Voice actor extrordinaire Rob Paulsen and some other equally amazing voice talent have started a new online show called Sock Puppet Theatre.

The idea behind the short weekly episodes is that sock puppets read out the arguments / flame wars from online forums.

In a couple of the vidoes there is a puppet in a coffee shop called Starsocks, and just for fun I recreated the logo as a possible t-shirt design.

A small warning that this is not really suitable for work due to the swearing and diatribes that these conversations tend to use.

Fringe - Human Kind
A new icon to support the US Fringe twitter campaign for the 7th of December.

This time with a Matrix style computer display using the observer language symbols.

Revolution - Hannigans, Americas Favorite Grill
After watching the mid season break of Revolution I decided to create a version of the Hannigans restaurant logo.

The restaurant was seen earlier in the season as the rebels were shot at (hence the bullet holes) and then featured again on a matchbox that Aaron tried to use.

This is an icon sized version I was using as my Twitter profile for a while.

Genius League Bowling
While I was in the middle of rewatching Eureka from the start I was watching the episode where the Global Dynamics team meet the Area 51 team.

I quickly decided I wanted to include these two team logos in a t-shirt design so came up with the idea for the Genius League bowling championship

This t-shirt design is now on Qwertee for voting

I might revisit the Genius League at somepoint as I'm sure the Wesley Crushers will want to join the league :-)
